QuitMeter
QuitMeter is a GTK application that monitors how long since you stopped smoking, displaying the amount of money/life saved with a nice animation. Originally written for the USENET group alt.support.stop.smoking (yes, I was a happy ex-smoker for a couple of years before falling foul of it again).
Requires Python and PyGTK 2.10
